Non-invasive prenatal test (NIPT) is a unique genetic test of high accuracy.

NIPT is a very accurate test , which analyzes freely circulating DNA of the fetus in the mother’s blood, in order to determine the risk of genetic abnormalities.

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that NIPT allows to determine the sex of the child and frequently occurring chromosomal diseases already from 9 weeks, with high accuracy, for example trisomy 21 (Down syndrome) – 99%; trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome) – 96%; trisomy 13 (Patau syndrome) – 99%, as well as the risks of triploidy, sex chromosome abnormalities and microdeletions.

How does the procedure work?

The blood sampling procedure for the NIPT test is carried out every day (except Saturday and Sundays), not on an empty stomach.

What are the indications for NIPT?

  • the age of the pregnant woman is 35 and older;
  • a positive result of biochemical screening;
  • the presence in the anamnesis of a pregnant woman with trisomy of the fetus;
  • the presence of fetal development anomalies during ultrasound , which may be associated with aneuploidy;
  • the presence of certain chromosomal abnormalities in the parents.
